Verizon Wireless Touch XV6900 Pre Release

It looks like HTC's Touch (already released for Sprint) will also be available for Verizon under XV6900.

Can the world handle an HTC Touch on both Verizon and Sprint? We’re about to find out. It seems that a clever fellow managed to get some snapshots of a Verizon HTC Touch demo unit. The phone looks to be pretty much identical to the Sprint version, though the photographer claims that the Verizon version is a bit thinner than Sprint’s. We’re assuming this is just a bit of subjective error here, but if HTC and Verizon really did manage to slim this thing down that would be quite impressive. Apparently Verizon will be launching this bad boy sometime in March of this year, and it will be sold exclusively in White and branded as the Verizon XV6900. Not too shabby if you ask us.

HowardForums’ member “hekidnappedher” posted an intriguing series of HTC Touch hands-on photos. The trick is that the device he’s using has a Verizon branding, giving us a hint we’ll see it released by the CDMA carrier in the near future. And while we’re little sceptical about his claim that the Verizon’s version is “a little thinner” than the one Sprint’s currently offering, we’ll be keeping our eyes wide open for this March when the official launch is reportedly scheduled. Hopefully, we’ll also see HTC bundling more RAM (128 MB) with the Verizon’s Touch. Stay tuned…

Did you read in the thred where they said the sku number is already in the system? The only thing that sucks for me is Im already getting the 5800 next week. That would suck if this phone showed up befor march.what would I do?? lol

Cool. It runs Windows Mobile. It just lacks the keypads and if you don't plan on doing a lot of typing, this smaller version may be what you need. I wonder what the starting price is.

employee training march 31st, scheduled during early to mid april. expected pricing is 279-349 on a 2 year agreement, i suspect 499.99 for full retail. best buy website is already showing it for sale in certain areas, DC being one of them
