Two problems with my XV6800 - Please help

I have had two problems with my device:

1. After a few days of proper syncing, I find that syncing flows in only one direction - from my handheld to my desktop, but not in the other direction. We have an exchange server, and I use Activesync. Any insights?

2. Just yesterday my device began to shut off by itself. Instead of going into sleep mode, it shut off for no apparent reason. This happens without rhyme or reason and in no apparent pattern that I can figure out. Anyone else have this problem?

There might be a setting for the sync where you decide how the sync should be, one way (each direction) or two ways.

Phone shutting off seems like a major software bug. Might want to check with Verizon for the latest firmware version, and if not, get a different phone that doesn't have this problem.
