Default How to turn off EVDO for smt5800

Hello all, I picked up the 5800 last week, and would like to know if there is a way to turn the EVDO off. I work in a hospital and the coverage isn't great, so the battery is draining faster due to searching for the network. I don't need the EVDO so it won't effect my use. I know in LG phones this is easily accomplished. Any ideas or steps? Thanks very much.
