Setting up a Verizon Wireless SMTP account
Verizon Wireless provides a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server, which allows an email client (e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express, Entourage, etc) to send email while connected to our network.
Due to ISP restrictions, SMTP service may not be available when roaming in International or Extended Network coverage areas.
Registration:

• Refer to Register for My Account.
  If already registered, skip to Email Configuration.

Email Configuration:

Server Name

smtp.vzwmail.net

Username

10-digit mobile number@vzwmail.net (e.g. 9995551212@vzwmail.net)

Password

My Account password

SMTP allowances:

• 10 MB message size
• 100 recipients per message.

Sometimes you outgoing mail server is not working like if you have a cox.net account. It is a useful tool to use the Verizon smtp outgoing mail server. You just need a my account or now it is called my verizon account.
