How to setup Ringback Tones

1. Purchase a Verizon Wireless phone/activate service.

• Prepaid subscribers are currently not eligible. Service use is subject to Verizon Wireless Customer Agreement.

2. Sign In for service

1. Visit www.verizonwireless.com/ringbacktones and Sign In for service. Registered vtext.com, Get It Now, and PixPlace users please use your mobile number and password.
   
   
   
2. If you have not registered, click the Register button and follow the steps in the Join Up! page.
   
   
   
3. Click the Service Availability tab to see if the Ringback Tones website is available in your area.
   
   
   
4. From the website, you can browse, purchase and manage your Ringback Tones.

3. Sampling and purchasing Ringback Tones

Once signed in you can browse the Ringback Tones website for tones to use.

1. Select the Ringback Tones tab to view available songs under each category or do a direct search for the tone you are looking for.
   
   
   
2. Once you find a song click on the Headphone image to preview the tone. When you find the tone you are looking for, click the shopping cart to purchase the tone.
   
   
   
   
   
3. You will be prompted with a popup Buy agreement. Click I Agree and continue.
   
   
   
4. You then receive a new tab called My Settings. Click My Settings to manage your Ringback Tones.

4. Managing your Ringback Tones

1. On the My Settings page you will be prompted to modify your default tone.
   
   
   
2. Once you select your default tone the My Settings menu page will open up.
   
   
   

• You can select which tones get played, who gets to hear what, and when.
• On the My Settings page you can add individuals to one of the tones your have purchased, or select a group of callers to hear the same tone.
• Time of Day selections will help manage work-hours from play-hours.
• All other callers will hear the Verizon Wireless default tone or the standard ringing tone.

5. Additional menu options


My Alerts

• Under the My Alerts tab you can receive a TXT alert whenever your favorite artist releases a new tone, just sign up for TXT notifications.
• Standard text messaging rates may apply.

My Ringback Tones

• This shows all of the tones that you have available to use with your Ringback Tones subscription.

Caller Greeting

• The Caller Greeting is a short message callers hear before the Ringback Tone is played.
• As part of your subscription to Ringback Tones, callers will hear the Caller Greeting prior to the Ringback Tone being played. The Caller Greeting will help introduce Ringback Tones to your callers.
• You can add or delete the Caller Greeting at any time during your subscription by accessing My Settings.

6. Signing up for Ringback Tones on your handset


You can also get Ringback Tones without having to Login into the Ringback Tones website.

1. Get a Verizon Wireless phone capable of supporting 2-way SMS. If you are a new customer you will also need to select an applicable Verizon Wireless calling plan. Text messaging charges will apply.
2. To receive a list of tones to your Verizon Wireless handset, send a TXT message with the text List to RBT (or 728). A list of song ID codes will be sent to your phone as a text message.
3. To purchase one of these tones, send the song ID code as a TXT message to the same shortcode: RBT or 728. From now on, all callers will hear is your newly purchased tone.

PLEASE NOTE: Voicemail and monthly subscription to Ringback Tones required. Verizon Wireless reserves the right to assign voicemail to you, at no charge, if you don’t have it at the time of subscription or if it is dropped during subscription. TXT Messaging charges and restrictions apply when subscribing through TXT Messaging. Charge for subscription will appear in the Monthly Charges section of your bill. Subscription may be terminated at any time, but subscription charge will not be prorated. A default tone, designated by Verizon Wireless and subject to change at any time, provided with subscription. Additional tones may be purchased separately through an annual license. You agree not to copy, reproduce, sublicense, transfer or assign tones or use them for any unauthorized purpose.
