Samsung a990 not recognizing flash

Brand New a990 will not recognize or format a SanDisk 4g micro sd card.

Format Failed from tools menu. Card shows as inserted but Memory Usage shows all 0's Card reads fine in standard card reader and is currently formatted fat32.

Have you tried using a smaller SD card?

It's possible that some of these phone cannot handle such large memory card, unless it specifically says it can.

I know most of them can support 1GB, but possibly 2GB with some software update. I've never heard of supporting 4GB, but I could be wrong.

I believe that the A990 only supports up to a 2gb card, I might be mistaken though.
