How to perform a hard reset on Palm Centro

Performing a hard reset - Palm Centro
A hard reset is the last resort for troubleshooting. This reset will erase all data and restore preferences to factory default specifications. Performing a hard reset is only recommended when the existing data has been backed up or is unwanted.

If third party software has been installed recently, refer to Palm Support Knowledge Library Article 27908 for assistance diagnosing problems caused by third party applications.

1. Disconnect the AC charger and USB sync cable.
2. Slide the battery cover downward to remove.
   
3. Remove the battery.
   
4. Press and hold the Power / End key while re-inserting the battery.
   
5. When presented with the second Palm logo screen, release the Power / End key.
   
6. Press Up on the 5-way navigation pad.
   
7. Select the desired language, then press the center of the 5-way navigation pad.
   
8. Press the center of the 5-way navigation pad to choose Yes.
   
9. Slide the battery cover upward to replace.
