Unhappy help with CDM 8945

I have a CDM 8945 phone. I bought the verizon music essentials kit to download music on my pc. i loaded the disk and connected the usb cable. on the phone it said i was connected. but on the pc it said there was nothing connected to pc. I also have i Venus and i can download music on it fine. anybody have the same problem? should i uninstall and try to install again? any suggestions...

Have you tried installing the driver for CDM 8945? The PC has to recognize the phone as CDM8945 before you can communicate with it.

i dowloaded the cd that it came with it and it downloads the software for drivers. When i did the venus software it worked fine.

i downloaded the software from the verizon site. and that worked. I dont know if it was different from the CD that i bought with the kit. but htat did it. I havent tried to download my husbands venus with this software. I hope it works for the venus too.
