Why is there no Mobile TV Upgrade for the A990?

The Samsung A990 is an extremely powerful and expensive phone, capable of feats that no other phone can mimic. The latest VZW firmware upgrade contained features that my user guide doesn't even mention, however...no TV upgrade. Why is that? Can it be added later on as an upgrade option for users that wish to go that route, or is the TV feature strictly hardware dependent on a chip or receiver that the A990 lacks?

Mobile TV uses a totally different technology called MediaFlo.

The Samsung a990 as powerful as it may be, can only support regular voice and data by technology called CDMA.

So, it's not as easy as getting a new software update. The brain of the cell phone needs to be a totally different chip. (Which wasn't ready by the time a990 came out)
