Question Storage for Samsung A-930

I wanted to know what is the largest amount of storage space that I can purchase for music/pics/videos for the Samsung A-930? I have read that many people are purchasing the 1GB Transflash/microSD. Is it possible to go to a 2GB card or would the phone not recognize this level of memory? Thank you in advance for your repsonse.

I heard that some of the old firmware only supported up to 512MB, but with the newer firmware, 2GB should be OK.

On my LG-VX8600, it has no problem supporting 1GB microSD (TransFlash).

Is the latest firmware installed out of the box? I went to Samsung's website and there were no downloads for the a930. I purchased my phone on 1/22/07 if this helps. Thanks.

I think you have to go to Verizon store to get your firmware updated.

on the samsung a930 the max card size is 1gb. the only non pda phones that will recognize a 2gb are the lg 8300 and the chocolate

as of now there is no software update for the samsung a930. one is pending due to issues presented with intermittent power discovered on certain esn numbers corresponding to phones purchased within a month of the initial release date.

thanks for the info ClwTL. 1Gb will definitely work for now. I can always go out and buy an iPod if I need more music capability.
