will any unlocked phone work with erizon Service?

I'm looking to buy a used, unlocked phone, but i dont want to buy a verizon phone. If i buy a phone that is unlocked, but originally from a different service provider, will i be able to connect it with my verizon service?

Most likely not.

If the other service provider isn't using CDMA (in US, Sprint, Alltel, US Cellular use CDMA, all others use GSM) then the phone itself is not capable of working on Verizon network.

Even if you have the CDMA phones from the other guys, chances are Verizon has a "special" way of authenticating genuine Verizon phone and all others will not work.
