SD card not working

I have a samsung 990 and I tried to put songs on there to listen to put when I put the card in, it says no songs. I tried to format it to see if that would work but it just says Formating Failed. Is there anything I can do?

In general, the song has to be in certain location before the phone can recognize that there are songs.

What you do is, insert the blank SD card into the phone and the phone will create bunch of directories on the SD card. Then, you take the SD card out, put it in your pc or a laptop, put the songs in the proper location. Next time you put the SD card back, the phone should recognize them as songs.
